Marty Supreme

Marty Supreme (15)

Thursday 15 Jan 20263:00pm
From visionary filmmaker Josh Safdie (of Uncut Gems fame) comes Marty Supreme, a bold, genre-blending sports comedy-drama that plunges into the wild world of 1950s American ping-pong. Starring Timothée Chalamet, and it's one of the most talked-about releases in recent times. Chalamet plays Marty Mauser, a ruthless, charismatic and unconventional ping-pong prodigy who stakes everything on a dream no one else respects. Inspired by real-life table-tennis icon Marty Reisman but not a strict biopic, the film follows Marty as he rises from the gritty New York streets to the spotlight. In his journey, he crosses paths with glowing stars like Gwyneth Paltrow (as an older film-star love interest), and a cast of eccentric, risk-taking characters: Tyler Okonma (aka Tyler, the Creator), Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher.
