The international hit musical comes to the big screen!

Winner of eight Tony Awards in 2019 including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, HADESTOWN: THE MUSICAL is the genre-defying musical blending modern American folk music with New Orleans-inspired jazz to reimagine a sweeping ancient tale of two intertwining love stories, that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and his wife Persephone. Filmed live on stage in London’s West End and featuring the original Broadway stars, HADESTOWN: THE MUSICAL invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back.

Screening for Black History Month

Menelik Shabazz (Burning an Illusion) shines a light on the music genre often dubbed ‘romantic reggae’; a uniquely black British sound that developed in the late 70s and 80s against a backdrop of riots, racial tension and sound systems.

Lovers Rock, often dubbed ‘romantic reggae’, is a uniquely black British sound that developed in the late 70s and 80s against a backdrop of riots, racial tension and sound systems. Providing a coping mechanism for what was happening on the streets, Lovers Rock allowed young people to experience intimacy and healing through dance – known as ‘scrubbing’ – at parties and clubs and developed into a successful sound with a string national UK hits, influencing the likes of The Police, Culture Club and UB40.

Shining a light on a forgotten period in British music, social and political history, Menelik Shabazz’s debut documentary feature underlines the impact Lovers Rock made in bridging the multi-cultural gap that polarized Thatcher’s nation.

Dracula + Q&A

Dracula + Q&A (15)

Hammer Films in partnership with Warner Bros resurrects Dracula in a landmark new 4K restoration featuring long-lost footage unseen for over 60 years

A landmark in Gothic horror, Dracula cemented Hammer Films' reputation as the leading force in modern horror cinema and introduced audiences worldwide to Christopher Lee's definitive interpretation of Bram Stoker's immortal vampire. Opposite Peter Cushing's fearless Van Helsing, Lee brought a terrifying physicality and seductive menace to the role that would redefine the Count for generations. This landmark 4K restoration from original film elements reinstates footage that was believed missing for more than six decades and was previously seen only by audiences attending the film’s original Japanese theatrical release in 1958. The recovered material has never been released before in the UK or USIt’s the cut the censors tried to bury.

When Jonathan Harker arrives at a remote Transylvanian castle, he discovers that his mysterious host, Count Dracula, is a centuries-old vampire who feeds upon the blood of the living. As Dracula's reign of terror spreads across Europe, the determined Professor Van Helsing embarks on a desperate battle to destroy the Prince of Darkness before more innocent lives are claimed.

We are honoured to be screening this new restoration in the presence of the World’s leading expert on Hammer films, Wayne Kinsey, who will be live on stage after the film for a Q&A.

Macbeth - Opera 2026

Macbeth - Opera 2026 (12A Live)

Tuesday 20 Oct 20266:00pm
Two of opera’s most extraordinary artists return to The Met: Live in HD for Verdi’s thrilling take on the immortal Shakespearean tale of the scheming couple determined to seize power at any cost. Following past triumphs in many of Verdi’s signature baritone roles, Quinn Kelsey is the Scottish king haunted by the ghosts of his murderous ascent to the throne, opposite Lise Davidsen—the world’s reigning dramatic soprano—as the power-mad Lady Macbeth, whose ruinous ambition damns them both. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin takes the podium for a penetrating production by Louisa Proske, a brilliant young director making waves around the world. Rounding out the all-star cast are tenor Freddie De Tommaso as the heroic Macduff and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as Macbeth’s friend-turned-victim Banquo. This production is part of the Met’s award-winning Live in HD series, bringing opera to cinemas across the globe.
