The Riverside Project

The Riverside Project

Sunday 24 Nov 20246:00pm

For the past few years our manager, Neil, and our Box Office/Technical Assistant, Will, have been researching the history of the Riverside and have unearthed a vast array of fascinating photos, news articles and other items from our 109 year past.

Tonight's event will consist of a talk lead by the cinema staff on the history of the building which will feature slides and archive photographs, news articles and video clips.

The Riverside Project will lead on from tonight's event as we gather even more information of our history and start to interview various people from its past that will eventually form the basis for a documentary film that we intend to make about the cinema and its history, and intend to screen in September 2025 to mark our 110th Anniversary.

The evening will be a "pay what you feel" event and the proceeds will go towards the project to help with various costs in making the final film.

Thank you all for your continued support throughout the years as without it we would not be here.
